Continuing to Empower Young Girls through Running in 2023 and Beyond

Girls Gone Gazelle Run Club has been empowering young girls through running for the past 12 years. Our free, not-for-profit club has trained in two provinces and three cities, helping girls between the ages of 9 and 13 build confidence, strength, and resilience through the sport of running.

As we begin the 2023 spring training, we are excited to announce that our club will continue to operate, providing young girls with the opportunity to engage in physical activity, build friendships, and develop healthy habits that will benefit them for years to come.

The Sole Sisters Women’s Race has been our primary source of revenue for our club in the past, and we are sad to see it end as the race is coming to a close. However, we will be looking for other revenue streams to ensure we can continue to provide the same high-quality training and support to our members. This may include charging some portion of the curriculum costs, but we will do our best to keep the fees as low as possible, ensuring that our club remains accessible to all girls who want to participate.

We are committed to making sure that Girls Gone Gazelle Run Club continues to be a safe, supportive, and inclusive space for young girls to develop their athletic abilities, self-confidence, and social skills. We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to experience the physical, emotional, and mental benefits that come with being a part of a supportive running community.

Our club has seen many girls grow from timid beginners to strong and confident runners who inspire others with their dedication and perseverance. We are proud to have played a small role in shaping these young girls’ lives and look forward to continuing this important work.

We invite all young girls between the ages of 9 and 13 to join our community of runners and be a part of something special. Together, we can continue to inspire, motivate, and empower the next generation of female runners.

Stay tuned for updates on our club’s activities, training schedules, and upcoming events. We can’t wait to see you on the track and at the finish line!
